In November, voters in Illinois will decide races for Governor, U.S. Senate and House and state legislature, as well as several statewide ballot initiatives.

Before you cast your vote, look to WTVP for the information and context you'll need to make an informed decision.

WTVP is proud to host the first televised gubernatorial debate on October 9th in our Peoria studios. We also look forward to presenting in-depth programming on the 17th Congressional district.

Each week, we bring you programs that strive to present news, issues and ideas with fairness, accuracy, objectivity and balance - shows like PBS NewsHour, BBC World News, Frontline, Washington Week and our own At Issue.

That's why, according to Roper public opinion polls, Americans say the nation's most-trusted news and public affairs programs are found on PBS.

In the coming year, our sights are set on upholding that high standard. We look forward to presenting more in-depth public affairs coverage through a rededication to our local programming, and the building of partnerships that will continue to transform WTVP into a public media organization for the 21st century - all in the service of creating an informed and inspired public.

Stay tuned, and thank you for your support of WTVP.
