Fall is always an exciting time for public television, with new series and specials rolling out, and this year is no exception. One of the very special events this season is the return of the annual PBS Arts Fall Festival, and there's one program in particular that everyone is eagerly awaiting. It's the crown jewel, the headliner of the season.

It's Hamilton's America, coming to us from the folks at Great Performances. They have been responsible over the years for bringing us many memorable moments (remember the first time you saw Les Mis?), and this documentary will be no exception. Hamilton's America kicks off the Arts Fall Festival on Oct. 21 at 8 p.m., and we'll learn how many hot-button issues of that time are still present and being debated today. It's an amazing story!

We'll also be treated to another delightful evening from Great Performances on Oct. 28 when Bill Murray receives the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at the Kennedy Center. Some of the biggest names in comedy will be there to honor this truly funny man. It should be a lot of fun!

We hope you'll enjoy these very special productions and the many other strong offerings this month, brought to you by your local public TV station, thanks to friends like you.
