Mediacom Adds WTVP World and WTVP Create

Mediacom customers in Fairbury, Atlanta, Leroy, Heyworth and McLean County are now able to enjoy expanded public television service through the WTVP World and WTVP Create channels.

WTVP was notified of the upgrade by Mediacom in a certified letter dated May 16. "Pursuant to the FCC regulations governing cable television service, we inform you that, effective June 16, 2009, Mediacom will add WTVP World and WTVP Create to our channel lineups."

Mediacom viewers in those communities can now watch WTVP on the following channels:

• WTVP 47 Channel 120

• WTVP World Channel 121

• WTVP Create Channel 122

• WTVP-HD Channel 711 (Atlanta, Heyworth and McLean County)

The WTVP World channel includes the best of PBS news, public affairs, documentary and informational programming. It also showcases an hour of local programming each weekday evening. The WTVP Create Channel features the best of PBS lifestyle/how-to programming including cooking, travel, gardening, sewing/crafting and more.
