Paula Zahn Retirement Revolution: The New Reality

From light-hearted stories about self-defense and second careers to solid advice about money, health and Medicare, Retirement Revolution: The New Reality airs Tuesday, September 15 at 8:00 p.m. on WTVP. This new special interviews experts who analyze the current economic condition of the United States and how it effects retirement, demonstrating ways to a richer, healthier future. Paula Zahn hosts.


Subjects include whether Social Security is really solvent for the long run, and how, if retired at 62, a person can increase their Social Security savings. Other stories examine annuities, gold, and CDs as alternative investments which might be safer than stocks in these tumultuous times. In a look at Healthcare in America, The New Alex and Becky Crockett Reality visits the NICE (National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence) commission which sets treatment and payment standards in Great Britain and explores how it might improve the Medicare system in America.
