– First Special Filmed in the U.S. for Their American Fans –
Internationally renowned for alluring stage productions and songs of heartwarming inspiration, the singing
sensation Celtic Woman presents a new chapter of musical enchantment to be enjoyed by the entire family. CELTIC WOMAN
— BELIEVE premieres Sunday, Dec. 4 at 8:00 p.m. on WTVP-HD.
CELTIC WOMAN — BELIEVE stars vocalists Chloë Agnew, Lisa Kelly, Lisa Lambe and Celtic violinist
Máiréad Nesbitt, performing classic Irish songs (“The Water Is Wide,” “Green Grow the Rushes,” “A Woman’s Heart,” “The
Parting Glass”), timeless pop anthems (“Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “Tears in Heaven”), and inspirational songs (“You’ll
Never Walk Alone,” “Smile,” “Ave Maria”) with their signature Celtic Woman twist, under the musical direction of
Emmy-nominated music producer David Downes.
Celtic Woman’s previous smash-hit public television programs and companion live concert DVDs were filmed at
historic locations around Ireland, including Slane Castle and Powerscourt House & Gardens. For the first time ever, this
Celtic Woman concert was filmed in the United States, capturing the infectious energy of their loyal American fans. Directed
by Emmy-nominated Ryan Polito, BELIEVE is a free-flowing cinematic experience that makes viewers feel as if they are
front and center, in the middle of the magic.
The extravagant production was filmed at Atlanta, Georgia’s Fox Theatre (former grand movie palace and now
National Historic Landmark) with a dazzling array of visual and musical effects — including a 20-piece orchestra, seven-piece
Celtic Woman Band, 16-piece Atlanta Bagpipe Band, lush vocal harmonies from the 10-member Aontas Choir and a 30-member
children’s choir — serving as the backdrop to the grace and beauty of Celtic Woman.
Since Celtic Woman’s March 2005 American debut on public television, the unique all-female ensemble has emerged
as a spectacular commercial success and a genuine cultural phenomenon. Their evocative, uplifting music has crossed over
national and cultural borders to touch the hearts of a devoted fan base that spans the globe.
