Federal Estate Tax Changes Discussed on WTVP’s “AT ISSUE”
Airs Thursday, October 4th at 8:30pm on WTVP-HD 47.1

—Experts discuss potential
changes to laws affecting estates and answer viewer questions about planned giving live from the WTVP
Studio—
Estate planning is a tricky business. Current federal laws, part of the tax cuts championed
by former president George W. Bush in 2001 and extended by President Obama in 2010, are set to expire on
December 31, 2012. If these cuts are not renewed, significant changes for anyone in the process of planning
their estate are on the way. WTVP-Public Media for Central Illinois will tackle these potential changes and
their effects on planned giving in a special live call-in episode of
AT ISSUE, Thursday, October 4
at 8:30 p.m. on WTVP-HD 47.1 (or check local cable/satellite listings).
AT ISSUE producer and host H Wayne Wilson will discuss the issues on air with
special guests. A panel of local experts will also be available for individual viewer questions during the
discussion, but the calls will be handled privately off air.
On-air panelists are:
Karen Stumpe - Kavanagh Scully Sudow White and Frederick
Mark Roberts - Community Foundation of Central Illinois
Mary Etrick - PNC Bank
Phone bank experts:
Lou Tenarvitz, VP of Community and Donor Relations at Children's Home Association of Illinois
Emily Wilburn, an attorney at VanFleet Law Offices
Jerry Heller, Executive Director of Gift Planning at Bradley University
Micki McCarthy, Planned Giving Director at OSF Foundation
