The Raleigh Ringers:
One Winter Evening at Meymandi
Airs Christmas Eve, Monday, Dec. 24th at 11pm on WTVP-HD.
– Wait for Santa with WTVP and The Raleigh Ringers –
Lauded by critics as "a rare combination of technical perfection, musical maturity and
expression from the heart" and "exceptional by any standard," the Raleigh Ringers bring a delightful
reverence to the holiday season. Under the direction of David M. Harris, The Raleigh Ringers have earned
widespread recognition as a community handbell ensemble performing both sacred and secular music.
In Raleigh, North Carolina's beautiful Meymandi Concert Hall, RALEIGH RINGERS: ONE
WINTER EVENING AT MEYMANDI - airing Christmas Eve at 11:00 p.m. on WTVP-HD - opens with
"Sarajevo/Christmas Eve 12/24," the energetic Savatage/Trans-Siberian Orchestra neo-classic. Selections
from "The Nutcracker Suite," along with more contemporary holiday favorites, including "Blue Christmas"
and "Sleigh Ride," round out the hour and the program concludes with a glorious rendition of "Stille Nacht"
(Silent Night).
