Capital Resources Development Company plans a coal mine bordering Copperas Creek northeast of Canton. The Illinois EPA has granted preliminary approval for water quality certification and a pollution control permit. An organizer for Prairie Rivers Network and an individual who helped start the ine project will discuss the merits of the planned North Canton Coal Mine.
