Episode #2503 -
Planned Giving
Estate planning is a tricky business. Current federal laws, part of the tax cuts championed by former president George W. Bush in 2001 and extended by President Obama in 2010, are set to expire on December 31, 2012. If these cuts are not renewed, significant changes for anyone in the process of planning their estate are on the way.

Panelists discuss:
Immediate Gifts - Types of Assets to Gift; Income Tax Deductions; Family Foundations; Donor Advised Funds
Split Interest Gifts - Charitable Remainder Trusts; Charitable Lead Trusts; Gift Annuities
Deferred Gifts - Bequests in Wills and Trusts; Life Insurance; 401K's and IRA's

Original Air Date(s): 10/5/2012
