Congratulations to the 155 coolest kids in Central
Illinois! They each wrote and illustrated their very own books and
submitted them to the 11th annual WTVP READING RAINBOW Young Writers &
Illustrators Contest. WTVP thanks you for sharing your awesome stories
with us. And although it's a tough job to choose, we're pleased to
announce this year's local first-, second- and third-place winners. The
four first-place winners advanced to the national awards competition, and
all our local winners and their families were feasted at a special party
in the WTVP studio. Every entrant received a Certificate of Achievement
signed by READING RAINBOW host LeVar Burton. You all did a fantastic job
and you're all winners in our book! Keep
reading, keep writing and keep sharing those stories. And be
sure to watch
READING RAINBOW every weekday at 2:30pm on WTVP.
