WTVP Proudly Presents the winners

of the 13th Annual

Congratulations to the 198 coolest kids in Central Illinois! They each wrote and illustrated their very own books and submitted them to the 13th annual WTVP READING RAINBOW Young Writers & Illustrators Contest. WTVP thanks you for sharing your awesome stories with us.

And although it's a tough job to choose, we're pleased to announce this year's local first-, second- and third-place winners. The four first-place winners advanced to the national awards competition, and all our local winners will be treated to a party in the WTVP Studio with their families and teachers, and you can look for them on-air, too. Every entrant received a Certificate of Achievement signed by series host LeVar Burton.

You all did a fantastic job and you're all winners in our book!

Keep reading, keep writing and keep sharing those stories! And be sure to watch READING RAINBOW every weekday at 3pm on WTVP!

The winning books can be viewed below, click on the book's cover to open. You will need to have Flash Player 6 or higher installed. Some of the books are also available for download in Adobe Acrobat (PDF).
