Highlights From the New 2007 Season in January... 


WTVP’s own AT ISSUE examines the "Carlock Wind Energy Project" with guest host Willis Kern, news director of WGLT-FM. Guests include Steve Schwoerer, participating land owner; Dr. Robert Quandt, associate professor of chemistry, Illinois State University; and David Loomis, associate professor of economics, Illinois State University, ISU “Wind Team.”

WTVP’s own INTERESTING PEOPLE welcomes Dr. John Stone, physician and author, and Dr. Allan Campbell, physician and pathologist to the interview table. Ed Sutkosski hosts.

"The War on 74" begins on BRADLEY WOMEN’S BASKETBALL as the Braves travel to Normal to face off with the Red Birds of Illinois State University.

MASTERPIECE THEATRE "Jane Eyre,"a new adaptation of Charlotte Brontë's beloved gothic novel about the passionate courtship between a governess and her tortured master, stars newcomer Ruth Wilson as Jane, Toby as Mr. Rochester and Francesca Annis as Lady Ingram. Susanna White ("Bleak House") directs.

Sundays, January 21 & 28 from 8-10pm


AMERICA’S BALLROOM CHALLENGE 2007, an exciting new five-part series, captures the sizzling action at the world’s largest ballroom dancing competition. Top couples from North America compete across dance styles — with just one couple emerging as "America’s best ballroom dance couple." Stage and screen actress Marilu Henner and former U.S. Latin Dance Champion Tony Meredith host.

Wednesdays, January 31 - February 28 from 7-8pm, encores Fridays at 9pm


THE SUPREME COURTexplores the history, impact and drama of America’s highest court. By fusing history with biography, the series humanizes the enigmatic black-robed figures who sit on the court, revealing their temperaments, passions, deeply held personal beliefs and life stories. The series also explores the dramatic stories of the people and cases in front of the court, and often-controversial rulings that have come down from the court.

Wednesdays, January 31 and February 7 from 8-10pm
