September 30 – Peoria/Chicago en route
Depart Peoria by motor coach to Chicago where you board Air France non-stop flight to Paris. Dinner and
breakfast will be served onboard.

October 1 – Paris/Giverny/Caen
Arrive in Paris this morning, where you will meet your tour director. You will begin a drive through the beautiful
countryside to Giverny, the inspiration and final home of Impressionist Claude Monet. Enjoy a guided
visit to the wonderful flower gardens and the Japanese bridge immortalized in his paintings. You will also have
free time to visit Monet’s home and former studio. Continue to Caen for your welcome dinner and
overnight.

October 2 – Caen (Normandy Beaches)
Connect with history today with a visit to the U.S. Military Cemetery near Omaha Beach. The Omaha
Museum offers a chronological presentation of the American sector from the occupation until the day of the
landings and an exhibition of guns, uniforms and military vehicles that served in the Second World War. Next
you will stop at Pont du Hoc, the famous point that was taken by storm by Colonel Rudder’s Rangers on the
morning of June 6th, and was one of the strong points of the German fortifications. After lunch on your own,
you will visit Memorial Pegasus dedicated to the parachutists and glider-borne troops who were the first to
land in the invasion of Normandy. Overnight in Caen.

October 3 - Caen/Versailles/Paris
Today you will head to Paris with a stop at the palace and gardens of Versailles, the retreat of French royalty.
Admire the sumptuous reception rooms, the intriguing Hall of Mirrors, the famous fountains and the formal
gardens. Continue to Paris in the late afternoon. A one-hour cruise on the river Seine will introduce you to
the city. Enjoy an included dinner this evening.

October 4 – Paris
Enjoy the splendor of Paris on your morning sightseeing tour on both banks of the Seine. View the Arc de Triomphe,
the elegant Champs-Elysees and Place de la Concorde. The highlight of the tour will be a visit to the worldrenowned
Louvre Museum where you will marvel at magnificent works of art by some of the most famous artists
from around the world. The painting of the Mona Lisa awaits you as you make your way through the many exhibits
of the museum with your local guide. The afternoon is at leisure for shopping or personal activities.

October 5 – Paris
The day will begin with a visit to Paris’ greatest treasure, the Gothic Cathedral of Notre Dame with its gleaming
stained-glass windows. You’ll continue to the Eiffel Tower—one of the wonders of the modern world—with its
famous panoramic view of the city. After some free time for lunch on your own, you’ll continue to Montmartre for a
funicular ride to the top of Montmartre Hill. You will visit the inside of the Sacre-Coeur basilica with its breathtaking
view over the city. |

October 6 – Paris/Nice
After a leisurely breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Nice in the south of France. Upon
arrival, you’ll enjoy a motor coach tour along the beautiful promenade of the French Riviera to your hotel. Dinner is
included at a local restaurant.

October 7 – Nice (Monte Carlo & San Remo)
After breakfast, you’ll begin a very scenic drive to Monte Carlo, capital of the tiny, wealthy Principality of Monaco.
Your escort will walk you around Prince Ranieri's jewel—probably the most glamorous place on earth. You’ll visit the
rose garden of Princess Grace and the cathedral where her tomb is located. Afterwards, continue your drive across
the border into Italy to the lovely seaside town of San Remo. Here you’ll have free time for shopping, strolling along
the beach, and sampling authentic Italian gelato. Return to Nice for an overnight.

October 8 – Nice (St. Paul de Vence & Antibes)
Drive to Saint-Paul de Vence, a typical early fortified town known as one of the most beautiful villages in Provence.
It’s famed beauty and exceptional light have inspired numerous artists throughout the ages and made it a popular
draw for famous painters who used to meet in the Colombe d’Or. Its narrow, picturesque streets, many gardens,
museums and artisan shops keep it a popular destination today. On the way back, stop in Antibes, a quaint fortified
town with a beautiful harbor, winding streets, many boutiques and lovely restaurants.

October 9 – Nice (Grasse and Cannes)
This morning you will head to Grasse, the French capital of perfumes. You’ll visit one of the many local factories of
this typical regional product where you can purchase a variety of perfumes and cosmetic products. Then you’ll continue
to Cannes, home of the International Film Festival and the tremendous Mediterranean resort. Spend the afternoon
strolling along the Corniche or enjoy the pedestrian shopping zone. Return to Nice for your farewell dinner.

October 10 – Nice
Enjoy this day at leisure, or join some optional activities which will be offered to you.

October 11 – Nice/Paris/Chicago/Peoria
Bid farewell to the glamorous French Riviera as you board your flight to Paris, where you continue by a connecting
flight to Chicago. After you clear Customs, you will motor coach back to Peoria with unforgettable memories of
your “Tour De France”.
