April 20 – Peoria/Chicago en route
Depart Peoria by motor coach to Chicago where you will board a regularly
scheduled flight to Europe. Dinner and breakfast will be served onboard. (D, B)

April 21 – Genoa/Embarkation
Arrive in Europe this morning where you
connect to Genoa, Italy. Upon arrival, you
will be met and transferred to your cruise
ship Costa Serena of Costa Cruises—your
home for the next 5 nights. You will be welcomed
by your friendly cruise staff who will
welcome you and escort you to your cabin.
Enjoy the Italian hospitality as you settle in
your cabin, unpack, and begin exploring
your beautiful ship before having dinner.

April 22 – Cruising Naples, Italy
Enjoy the morning sailing along the Italian
Coast to the port of Naples, Italy. Naples is
where the first pizza was tossed. You will
have the opportunity to join optional excursions
to the beautiful island of Capri, the
ruins of Pompeii or the scenic Amalfi Coast.
Whichever one you choose, you will be
delighted with the beauty of the Italian

April 23 – Cruising Valetta, Malta
Enjoy a relaxing morning sailing toward the
amazing island of Malta. You’ll stop in
Malta’s capital from noon to 7:00pm. This
city is known as The Fortress City. The
Knights of St. John established their headquarters
here in 1530. Don’t miss the option
to visit St. John’s Cathedral and the Grand
Master’s Palace. Enjoy the narrow streets
full of tiny shops selling antiques, books,
and local handicrafts. You will be enchanted
by the charm of this unique country that has
been occupied by many conquerors due to
its strategic location in the Mediterranean.

April 24 – Cruising Corfu, Greece
Another delightful morning awaits your
enjoyment of the facilities and activities
onboard your magnificent vessel. Later,
you’ll dock in Corfu, Greece, from 2:00-
7:00pm. Corfu is one of the most favorite
destinations of Greece and the Greek
Islands. It is part of the Ionian Islands and
has verdant vegetation, amazing beaches,
superb Venetian architecture, picturesque
villages, and a great cosmopolitan way of

April 25 – Cruising Dubrovnik, Croatia
A jewel awaits you this morning as you
dock in the most beautiful city on the
Adriatic Sea—Dubrovnik, Croatia. It is set
on a peninsula, surrounded by a 1,000-yearold
protective wall. You will have breathtaking
views of the Adriatic Riviera making
this one of the most picturesque spots in the
world. You are docked here from 8:00am to
1:00pm and will have the opportunity to join an optional shore excursion to explore
the city—or you may want to wander the
beautiful fortress on your own. (B, L, D) |

April 26 – Venice/Bologna
Bid farewell to your cruise staff as you disembark
in Venice, Italy. You will have a
guided tour of Venice at St. Mark’s Square,
undeniably the heart and soul of the city
and often described as an elegant drawing
room because of its palatial arcades, grand
buildings and charmingly elegant cafes.
Your guide will enlighten you about this
fascinating city’s history as well as life in
modern day Venice. You will then be
transferred to your hotel in Bologna, Italy,
your home for the next three nights.
Bologna, often overlooked by travelers, has
one of the best-preserved historic centers
in Italy and is famous for its arcaded streets
full of beautiful boutiques. It is also a
university town with a reputation as Italy's
culinary center. (B, D)

April 27 – Bologna (Tour and Tastings)
Your Private Gourmet Walking Tour of
Bologna will take you through the Medieval
Markets, exploring the history, art and
traditions of the city of Bologna and its
surrounding towns. Visit a local traditional
bakery and pasta factory where you
will learn the history of Tortellini and
Tagliatelle. Continue to Beccari's salsamenteria
to discover the history of
mortadella from the Third Century BC
right up until modern times. For many, the
highlight of the tour will be the visit to a
traditional chocolate maker where solid
chocolate was invented! Your tour will also
include a visit to a typical Bolognese
Osteria, the fun-loving side of Italy's oldest

April 28 – Bologna (Excursion to Florence)
This morning, travel to Florence where your
guided walking tour includes the main
square where you can admire the magnificent
Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore,
crowned by Brunelleschi’s famous dome
and flanked by Giotto’s Bell Tower, the
adjacent Baptistery where you will have a
chance to see Ghiberti’s “Gates of Paradise,”
and the Signoria Square with its many
sculptures and famous cafes. Included in
the tour is a visit to the Galleria
dell’Accademia, where Michelangelo’s
David is on display. You will have some
more time to wander around these historic
cobblestone streets and shop before returning
to Bologna. You’ll enjoy a Farewell
Dinner tonight so you can reminisce over
your wonderful journey with your fellow

April 29 – Bologna/Chicago
Depart Bologna this morning for Chicago,
arriving the same afternoon. After you clear Customs, you will motor coach back to Peoria with unforgettable memories of your “Wonderful Cruise of the
Three Seas”.
