THE WAR!, a documentary film
series by Ken Burns exploring the profound, world-changing
effects of World War II through the stories of average people
from across the nation.

also capturing our own stories, from the heartland of Illinois, to
air in conjunction with this documentary. We will preserve these
memories so that future generations can understand the tragedy,
triumph, loss, and love
felt by our nation’s greatest generation. |

WTVP NEEDS YOUR STORIES
Please contact WTVP and share your personal story
or the story of a family member. WTVP will record your interview
in our television studio or will come to you if you can’t travel
to us. We encourage you to bring photographs and other
memorabilia to help visualize your experiences. Stories will be
aired during the Ken Burns film in September, and in our own
full-length documentary.
