WTVP Public Files
Our FCC Public File is
available for viewing during regular business hours: Monday through
Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm at the WTVP Studios, 101 State Street, Peoria,
IL 61602. No prior appointment is necessary to view the Public File. We
do ask, however, that you provide us with your name and local address
prior to viewing the file.
Because the File contains a number of sections, a WTVP Staff Member will
assist you by removing the items from the File you wish to view. Only
one section at a time will be allowed to be removed from the Public
File. A place to view the File will be made available.
Photocopies of all materials in the Public File are available. Each
single-sided copied page costs five cents ($.05). Photocopies requested
will be available for pickup within five (5) business days, or WTVP will
mail them to you, provided you pay the postage. Payment for all copies
must be made at the time of pickup or prior to mailing.
Quarterly Topic Report:
The FCC requires nonexempt noncommercial educational
broadcast stations to provide a list of the the station's most
significant treatment of community issues during the preceding
three-month period. The list for each calendar quarter is to be
filed by the tenth day of the succeeding calendar quarter (e.g.,
January 10 for the quarter October-December). The list includes a
brief narrative describing what issues were given significant
treatment and the programming that provided this treatment. The
description of the programs includes, but is not limited to, the
time, date, duration and title of each program in which the issue
was treated.
This form is used to provide the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) with information pertaining to WTVP activity to educate consumers on the transition to digital television (DTV).
Documentation of when each DTV transition-related announcement aired and a signed copy of FCC Form 388 can be found in the WTVP Public File.
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) requires all broadcasters to provide an annual EEO report detailing their outreach efforts, which is available here and in WTVP’s Public File.
