Cheers to the New Year!
January is a month for new beginnings, new resolutions, new goals and…new seasons of your favorite shows on WTVP PBS! My oldest daughter has asked me time and time again, “when is the next season of All Creatures Great and Small going to come out?” She can’t wait to see it, and neither can I. It has become our show, a special time when just the two of us curl up and watch an episode together. It’s rather magical. This is what quality programming can do…bring us together and help us make memories with those we love.
This month at WTVP we are excited to premiere new seasons for six fan-favorite shows including: Finding Your Roots, All Creatures Great and Small, Miss Scarlet, Vienna Blood, Antiques Road Show and Nova. Go ahead and smile in the face of daunting winter weather forecasts…here at WTVP we’ve got you covered with great shows that will make a night in, feel like a night out.
Our New Year’s resolution at the station is to produce more local content that connects you with your community. I’m delighted to announce that WTVP will be broadcasting the Peoria Mayoral Primary Debate on January 23 at 8pm. This event is made possible in collaboration with the League of Women Voters of Greater Peoria, WCBU 89.9, NAACP Peoria, and with the participation of all three mayoral candidates. It’s just another way that we are making good on our promise to bring the station into the community and the community into the station.
The future is bright! Thank you for watching and supporting WTVP.
With gratitude,
