Host Biography
Christine Zak-Edmonds has called Peoria home since 1978 when she became a reporter and later news anchor at WEEK TV. She led the news team until 2001, and along the way created the Kids Nowadays franchise for which she received many awards, including the prestigious Gracie Allen Award. Christine has served on many area boards and chaired the OSF Children's Hospital of Illinois Advisory Board and the Hult Center for Healthy Living Board. She lives in Peoria with her husband, Jay Edmonds, and considers herself blessed that her adult sons and their wives have remained in Central Illinois, keeping her four grandchildren nearby.
