Doug Hoerr: Landscape Architect

This locally produced program features a casual conversation between Phil Luciano of the Peoria Journal Star and Doug Hoerr, senior partner with Chicago’s award-winning landscape architecture firm Hoerr Schaudt. They talk about the genesis of Doug’s passion for horticulture and landscaping in Peoria, his time studying English gardening traditions and major projects like landscaping Chicago’s Michigan Avenue, the rooftop garden at Chicago’s Old Post Office and top rated city landscapes across the country and around the world.

Recorded in the garden of Peoria resident Maryann Zimmerman (which Doug designed more than 30 years ago), the show includes tips for homeowners looking to create beautiful gardens and landscaping of their own.
