Follow the remarkable journey of Lydia Moss Bradley, from her humble beginnings in Indiana to the loss of her husband and six children, the founding of Bradley University as a school for watchmakers, the beginnings of the Peoria Park District, and creation of Children’s Home and OSF St. Francis Healthcare. Society told her women were not allowed, but her skill and determination broke down barriers and left a lasting legacy in Central Illinois and beyond. This original WTVP production explores the tragedy and triumph of a petit woman who is a giant in Peoria history.
