Note from the President and CEO | June 2024

This past month, I started binge-watching several documentaries through Passport on my WTVP PBS App. I fell in love with Ken Burns’ The Roosevelts: An Intimate History. The program utterly captured my mind and my heart. I learned so many new things about these extraordinary individuals. Their respective adversities and triumphs were both humbling and riveting. When the documentary was finished, I was speechless. I wasn’t just entertained but utterly inspired to tackle whatever challenges lay ahead.

If you are a viewer or member of WTVP, you know that public media offers more than entertainment. It provides inspiration, insight and even hope. It challenges us to grow and learn in new ways, appreciate and experience all our communities have to offer, and invest in and grow the next generation of leaders in central Illinois.
