DELIGHTFUL DISCOVERIES
A spirit of exploration, discovery and delight is woven into our programming at WTVP PBS, and September is no exception. This month American Masters brings you the story of Dominican American Poet Julia Alvarez who blazed a trail for a generation of Latino authors; and Orozco, the famed Mexican muralist who inspired FDR to put artists to work during the great depression. BIG CATS 24/7 takes you on an incredible journey with an elite team of experts staking out Africa’s big cats across Botswana’s Okavango Delta. Secrets of the Dead reveals the hidden treasures of Lake Iznik in Turkey uncovering the sunken remains of a 4th century basilica. And as always, our locally produced shows and documentaries help you discover and connect with the incredible stories of people and places right here in central Illinois. Whether you tune in, live stream, or watch on demand, there are so many treasures to discover at WTVP PBS.
Additionally, we are excited to announce the launch of a brand-new series from Masterpiece! Moonflower Murders, starring Lesley Manville, is a literary whodunit that picks up where Magpie Murders left off. The series will kick-off on September 15th and runs through October 20th on Sunday evenings.
