WTVP Brings Charlie Brown Holiday Specials Back to Broadcast Television

The whole Peanuts gang returns to broadcast television this holiday season when WTVP airs three favorites: It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown; A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and A Charlie Brown Christmas. The specials will air only once, ad free on WTVP (47.1) and PBS Kids (47.2). Livestreaming on the WTVP website will be interrupted during the broadcasts.

WTVP and PBS Kids will air It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown for the first time ever on Sunday, October 24 at 6:30 p.m. Charlie Brown, Linus, Snoopy, Lucy and the whole gang scare up some fun trick or treating, waiting up for the Great Pumpkin and battling the Red Barron. It’s a great way to get into a family Halloween mood.

A CHARLIE BROWN THANKSGIVING

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving airs on WTVP and PBS Kids on Sunday, November 21 at 6:30 p.m. Everyone learns the true meaning of Thanksgiving after being presented with a feast of toast, jellybeans and pretzels concocted by Snoopy and Peppermint Patty (with a little help from Woodstock).

The very first Peanuts holiday special, A Charlie Brown Christmas, will air on WTVP and PBS Kids on Sunday, December 19 at 6:30 p.m. This timeless, Emmy-winning story warms the hearts of young and old as Charlie Brown and friends rail against commercialism and learn that Christmas is about more than trees and lights and presents.
