Lincoln Laureates

Since its founding in 1964, the nonpartisan, not-for-profit Lincoln Academy of Illinois has recognized over 350 extraordinary people, citizens of Illinois by birth or residence, in the spirit of that most famous Illinoisan, Abraham Lincoln. Each year, the Laureates of the Lincoln Academy are presented with the state's highest honor for individual achievement, the Order of Lincoln medallion in formal ceremonies held across the state of Illinois. The 2025 class of Laureates includes: Olympic speed skating legend Bonnie Blair, best-selling author Sandra Cisneros, Chicago educator Janice Jackson, internationally acclaimed architect Jeanne Gang, Trailblazing journalist Carol Marin, and African American oral history archivist Julieanna Richardson.

It is not about a pill, a prescription, or a “one size fits all” solution – rather it is about a conversation. Jenn Gordon moderates the discussion on anxiety with Dr. Kyle Boerke, Director of Behavioral Health for OSF Healthcare system; Tiffany Jordan, Therapist with The Antioch Group; Christina Gerlach-Mooney, Director of Mental Health Residential and Crisis Services for Trillium Place; and Chad Nightingale, Church Care Director for Biblical Counseling Ministries.
