Nature’s Wisdom Through Native Eyes
Friday, November 21, 2025, 7pm

This film looks at the two basic conflicting stories of life in America. The first tells us that everything's connected and what we do to one part of the web effects all of it. The other story, the familiar western story, is that the living world is for us to take and take and take and to never give back. We look at this dynamic through storytelling, native wisdom and science.

Bring Them Home
Monday, November 24, 2025, 9pm

BRING THEM HOME tells the story of a small, determined group of Blackfoot people striving to reestablish the first wild buffalo herd on ancestral lands since the species' near-extinction a century ago. The film evocatively captures the decades-long efforts to restore buffalo along with the land, re-enliven traditional culture and bring much needed healing to the Blackfoot community. Narrated and executive produced by Oscar nominee and Blackfoot/Nez Perce actor, Lily Gladstone, the film has screened at over 40 film festivals; earning multiple awards and playing as an audience favorite.

Stroke: The Circle of Healing
Wednesday, November 5, 2025, 6pm

In STROKE: THE CIRCLE OF HEALING, filmmaker Jaime Tafoya chronicles his journey as a stroke survivor. He shares his personal path to recovery, including both the use of Western medical treatments and traditional Native American healing practices. Jaime was left disabled and adrift in life, looking for solutions to his health crisis after experiencing a stroke. After returning to his hometown of Sacramento, California, he rediscovered his Native American roots by engaging with the Sacramento Native American Health Center for primary health care. He also built a team around him to address different aspects of his recovery journey. STROKE: THE CIRCLE OF HEALING examines the universal toll a life-altering health crisis can have on an individual's physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing. It also underscores the importance of building a collaborative and supportive care network, as well as advocating for your own health choices.
