Democratic incumbent Gov. JB Pritzker and Republican challenger Darren Bailey faced off in a live forum on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at WTTW studios in Chicago. The candidates discussed the ideas and priorities they'd bring to the office. The forum was moderated by Brandis Friedman with several questions representing Central Illinois posed by WTVP’s Mark Welp.
