Adam Donahoe | Edwards, Illinois

Adam Donahoe is Senior Manager at RSM US LLP and has more than 14 years of experience in public accounting, serving both private equity and public clients. Originally, Donahoe wanted to pursue a career in construction to follow in his father and grandfather’s footsteps. However, with his father’s encouragement, Adam went to college and in his junior year, discovered accounting was a good career and a strength for him. Donahoe is dedicated to maintaining excellent client relationships with transparent communication that enables efficient engagement performance and client confidence.

Though he would have advised his younger self to travel and see more of the world before building his family and full-time career, Donahoe has enjoyed the challenges of public accounting, the travel opportunities, and meeting new people.

Of facing challenges, Donahoe says, “they end up being some of the most rewarding times…While in the situation it seems overwhelming, those times strip away many of the things that we take for granted. In those times…I look back and see how much my family cared for me and supported me. The sense of accomplishment after overcoming a challenge is only more gratifying the harder the challenge was.”

Donahoe and his wife both grew up in central Illinois and are happy to still call it home. He has been giving back to his community by serving the last eight years on Goodwill’s board of directors. “This was the first board that I participated in, and it has had a significant impact on me.
