Danni Jepson | Peoria, Illinois

Currently in her second year of advertising sales with Adams Outdoor Advertising, Danni Jepson was born and raised in Peoria, and though not for lack of intention, never left!

Though her childhood dream was to be a ballerina, lawyer, or an Olympic gymnast or snowboarder, Jepson’s career trajectory has always been in the sales world. Starting on the admin side, many colleagues raved that she “would be fabulous in sales,” and Jepson finally took the hint.

Danni is going through a season of deep grief for the tragic loss of her brother last summer. “He is my only sibling; we are thirteen months apart. It’s a wild thing I have been trying to wrap my head around…it was sudden and unexpected. It’s truly been an experience to navigate that, and life doesn’t stop for anything or anyone.” As she continues to grieve, she doesn’t let it keep her from showing up for herself and her community each day.

Jepson serves on the board of the Pediatric Resource Center, glad to have made lifelong friends among her fellow members. “Known for her dependability, kindness, and humility,” writes her nominator, Andre Allen, “she approaches each initiative with a genuine desire to help others. By advocating for children’s health, fostering professional development among young leaders, and enhancing community engagement, she has created a positive ripple effect that benefits numerous individuals and families in the Peoria area.”

Jepson defines a great leader as “someone who puts others first and listens to the needs of those they are leading. They require healthy communication skills, empathy, a strong work ethic, confidence, and honesty. A great leader knows how to inspire the best in others and know when to praise and when to address problems.”

Outside of the office, Danni spends time with family and friends, shares her love of charity events at every opportunity, enjoys sports (particularly attending games), and is “always down for a little friendly competition.” Christmas is her absolute favorite holiday, and she firmly believes in enjoying the Thanksgiving turkey with her Christmas lights already up and glowing!
