Principal | CliftonLarsonAllen, LLP

Amanda Campbell thrives on bringing clarity to complexity. As a Principal in Assurance specializing in nonprofits for CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA), she guides organizations through regulatory compliance, strengthens internal controls and offers practical consulting. She also provides hands-on support through outsourced financial and accounting services. “I love helping leaders turn complex financial topics into clear, actionable decisions,” writes Amanda. “Every day I get to support multiple missions across central Illinois, from human services and education to arts and culture, and watch incredible teams strengthen our community.” Through Amanda’s work, she impacts many charities across the region.
Nonprofit work is more than a nine-to-five for Amanda, as Mark Dalbey of CLA explains. “Amanda's passion for nonprofit success goes beyond professional duty—it is a personal mission. Her specialized focus on nonprofit assurance equips organizations with the tools to thrive, while her hands-on involvement demonstrates a rare blend of technical skill and heartfelt commitment. Amanda is not just a leader in their field; she is a champion for community progress, consistently using her influence to create lasting, meaningful impact.”

Amanda has always been interested in helping people. As a child, she wanted to be a doctor. “Even as a kid, I was drawn to the idea of helping people in moments that really matter, and of making complicated things feel a little less overwhelming.” While she didn’t end up in medicine, Amanda's mission-focus continued. “I may use spreadsheets instead of stethoscopes, but the heart behind it—service, compassion and practical help—remains the same.”

As a helper herself, Amanda initially struggled with asking for help when she needed it. Her son, Logan, has special needs and severe medical complexities. “Early on, I thought strength meant carrying everything myself; I quickly learned real strength is letting people carry you, too.” Amanda recounts how their family and friends showed up with love, meals, support, prayer and presence. She discovered a special needs community “that radiates kindness and resilience.” Amanda says that Logan “has made us braver, kinder and more grateful; he reminds us that the most important thing will always be our family.”
“Prioritize people over perfection. Relationships compound faster than technical skills, and the right mentors and friends will change your life.”
Amanda’s own mother had a significant impact on her life. She describes her as “selfless, resilient, and steady—someone whose faith shows up as service, whose standards come wrapped in kindness and whose work ethic is matched only by her compassion.”
“None of this is a solo journey,” confesses Amanda. “My husband, Kaleb, and I were married in 2016, and our son, Logan, is the heart of our home.” They enjoy traveling, watching sporting events and catching a show at the Peoria Civic Center. “Our home runs on teamwork, faith and a lot of cheering—celebrating big milestones and small victories alike.”
