Lindsey Swishcuk is redefining beauty as the founder and owner of Artemis Esthetics & Wellness. As an APN-led practice, Artemis prioritizes high clinical standards while fostering a welcoming, empowering space for patients. Carolina Huser values how Lindsey “blends her medical expertise with a deep passion for helping others feel beautiful inside and out. She’s known for her personalized care, attention to detail and commitment to ensuring every client leaves feeling renewed and confident.”

“Stay confident in who you are and where you’re going, and don’t give weight to the opinions of those who try to bring you down.”

Science has always held Lindsey's fascination. She once wrote “nuclear physicist” as her future career in a sixth-grade time capsule (although now she attributes this to watching James Bond movies). She earned a B.S. from Purdue University in 2009, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011. In 2015, Lindsey completed her Master of Science in Nursing and became a board-certified Advanced Practice Nurse (APN). She then spent ten years with Central Illinois Radiology Associates. “While this experience strengthened my clinical foundation,” writes Lindsey, “it also clarified my desire to create something of my own. Building Artemis has allowed me to merge my clinical training and entrepreneurship and it remains one of my proudest professional accomplishments.”

Lindsey’s work took on extra depth following her own breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. “That experience reshaped my understanding of resilience, support and the power of community, and ultimately inspired the creation of Pink Boots and Country Roots.” The inaugural country concert raised nearly $100,000 for OSF Cancer Institute. Beau Landry believes that “Lindsey’s work sits at the intersection of health, aesthetics and purpose. She doesn’t just spotlight others—she elevates them. Through her leadership at Artemis and her self-started event, Pink Boots and Country Roots, Lindsey has become not only a voice, but profound force in shaping what leadership looks like in Peoria: grounded, bold and human.”

Beyond her business and nonprofit, Lindsey also supports several other charities. She has competed in the CASAblanca charity event, supports Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Angel Tree Program, Christmas in the Village, 4-H programs and local schools, among others.

All of this important work is undergirded by the support of her family. Lindsey admires her grandmother, Joyce Sullivan, whose “dedication, warmth and guidance left a lasting imprint on all of us. Even after she passed a few years ago, her influence continues to shape how I approach family, work and life.” Lindsey calls her family the heart of everything she does. “I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support of my husband, Dr. Jim Swischuk, and for the joy and inspiration my children, Logan and Landyn, bring to my life each day. They are my greatest motivation.” Lindsey spends a lot of time at the hockey rink, baseball fields and basketball courts, cheering on her kids, and says that her favorite spot is wherever her family is.
