Masterpiece fans are going to love October, with no less than three new or returning series highlighting Sunday evenings. And don't miss new documentaries and other great programs to inform and entertain throughout the month.

VAN DER VALK ON MASTERPIECE – NEW!

Marc Warren (The Good Wife) reprises his role as Commissaris Piet Van der Valk in the second season of the Amsterdam-set police drama. Maimie McCoy (All Creatures Great and Small), Luke Allen-Gale (The Borgias), Elliot Barnes-Worrell (Ready Player One), Darrell D'Silva (Atlanta) and Emma Fielding (Bridgerton) all return to their respective roles.

Blood in Amsterdam 

When an employee of the renowned Cuypers Diamonds is killed and his body delivered in pieces to the wealthy siblings and heirs to the company, Van der Valk must consider a possible tale of revenge against the family.

Victorian London's most delicious detective duo-with-a-twist are back. Their story continues as aspiring detective Eliza Scarlet competes for cases. She even partners with her longtime friend/rival, The Duke, as their relationship delightfully and maddeningly simmers on.

Pandora’s Box 

The sister of a missing woman hires Eliza to find her – the only problem is that the case was already investigated and closed by the police department, leading to new tensions between Eliza and the Duke.

Fishing bodies from the waters around Glasgow, Scotland, DI Annika Strandhed and her newly-formed Marine Homicide Unit face a steady stream of murders in this new series, starring Nicola Walker as the title character. Confiding her thoughts directly to viewers, Annika juggles baffling cases and a rebellious teenage daughter. The former is easier to solve than the latter.

Episode 1

Annika assembles her team to solve murders in the waters around Glasgow. Their first case looks a lot like a whale hunt gone wrong.
